We traveled to Nepal in October, 2010. First stop was Kathmandu. Who knew that the Kathmandu Valley is populated by 3,500,000 people? Here's a view as we were coming in to land.

One of the Temples that we visited is known as the "Monkey Temple" due to all of the monkeys running around. While they're cute, they're pests. The real name of the temple is Swayambhunath. I guess that's why it's known as the Monkey Temple.

The temple itself consists of a "Stupa" (look it up) which is about one city block in size. As you walk around, the monkeys are all over
.

We visited a town called Patan, where the main attraction is a large square full of beautiful temples and stupas.
